Addiction Recovery Assistance

Updated: Jul 10, 2023

Financial difficulty frequently causes stress, anxiety, and a sense of helplessness, which can worsen mental health problems and emotional suffering. Financially struggling people may feel failure, shame, or guilt, all of which can have a detrimental effect on their mental health. Since people may use addictive drugs or behaviors as a coping method to avoid or numb their emotional anguish, these emotional loads might serve as triggers for substance addiction or relapse.

Related to this matter, the following resources include advice on how to ask for help, how to speak with a financial therapist, and details on financial literacy for recovering addicts seeking for help.

As a Nurse practitioner, I have dealt with many people over the years who have been addicted to various things. I, and those I work with, have sought every available resource to help people.

I liked these resources that were shared with me and I wanted to share them with you. Let me know if you like them too. Please share these materials with someone and be a blessing.
